Princes Go Down to Defeat, 7-5
|
Kansas City first baseman Ronald Baird had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 7-5 win over the Bel Air Princes. The win was Jack Smith's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Frank Garduno took the loss for Bel Air. Carlos Solís earned the save for Kansas City, his 2nd of the year.
Baird had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the second, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Blue Spaders went on to win.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Baird told a Kansas City Herald reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
Kansas City is in last place in the August Herrman League Mr. Met Division with a record of 36-73.
