Road Warriors, Miller Pin Bad Loss on Capitals

Westside played host to Springfield at the friendly confines of Road Warriors Field.
A 6-RBI performance from shortstop Dale Miller, who was drafted in the two round of the 2028 draft, led the Westside Road Warriors to a 11-2 win over the Springfield Capitals. Jay Retter, the winner, improved to 11-3. He held the Capitals to 2 runs on 3 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 2.
Also having an impact was second baseman José García, who stroked a 2-run single in the bottom of the third for Westside. For the game, García went 2-5 with a double. He drove in 3 runs.
Springfield manager Anthony Mays called the blowout loss "just something that happens from time to time."
The first-place Road Warriors are now 86-24, the Capitals 71-39.
