Dancin' Outlaws Pick Up 5-3 Win
|
The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws beat the Austin Hipsters, 5-3, at Penlee Park. West Virginia right fielder Shawn Frank earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Dancin' Outlaws now have a record of 63-45 with the win over Austin.
West Virginia took a 5-3 lead on Frank's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Kantaro Hayashi in the bottom of the seventh, propelled West Virginia to the win.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Frank.
