5 Straight Wins for Sting
|
The Houston Sting went home winners at Tim Raines Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Tim Lush. Lush silenced the Stroudsburg Shade, enabling Houston to grab the 5-1 win. Lush, now 1-4, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. The Sting, at 57-50, have now won 5 straight.
Augusto Reyes was a key contributor to the win for the Sting. In the top of the eighth with one out, the light-hitting pinch hitter stroked a single to left. He went 1 for 1.
