|
Horiuchi Arai helped his team muscle past the Austin Hipsters, 8-3. In the game, the Springfield shortstop was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Hipsters have now dropped 6 straight.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the fifth, with the game tied, Ángel González was at the plate when Springfield scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Capitals to go in front, 1-0.
