Uchiyama, Houston Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
Naizen Uchiyama never let the Seals get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Sting to a 2-0 win. Juan Carlos Baraja got credit for the save for Houston. It was his 7th of the year. The Sting now have a record of 54-50 with the win over Beach City.
Uchiyama scattered 4 hits over 7 innings for the Sting. With the win, Uchiyama goes to 4-6 on the year with 109 strikeouts.
