Hornets Score Late, Stun Road Warriors, 4-2

The Bethesda Hornets topped the Westside Road Warriors, 4-2, in August Herrman League action at Hornets Field. The player of the game was Bethesda second baseman Dylan Brisley. Bethesda reliever Kwan-cheol Hwang was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Shang-de Hua took the loss. Javier Sánchez finished to wrap up his 2nd save.
Jean-Yves Girard found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Westside hurler Shang-de Hua, the 20-year-old designated hitter hit a 2-run single. His 4th hit of the season put the Hornets on top, 4-2.
"We'll savor this win," Brisley told the Bethesda Chronicle, "then get ready for the next game."
Bethesda, now 41-58, holds 6th place in the August Herrman League Mr. Met Division.
