Cheung Leads Charge, West Virginia Blasts Bums

The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws had no problem beating the Palm Beach Bums, 19-3, at Envoys Ballpark. Xiao-gang Cheung led the way. He went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 8 RBI and scoring twice for West Virginia. Joe Hutchins, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held Palm Beach to 3 runs on 4 hits over 6.2 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The last-place Bums have dropped 4 straight games.
West Virginia designated hitter Lubos Hlina contributed to the cause with a 2-run double in the top of the second. For the game, Hlina was 3 for 7 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4.
"They licked us pretty good," said losing manager Francis Baker.
