Dancin' Outlaws Shut Out Hornets
|
West Virginia right-hander Jason Hammond pitched his team to a shutout win, 7-0, over the Bethesda Hornets. Dimitri Jourdan got credit for the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. The Dancin' Outlaws' win now puts them at 54-41.
Lubos Hlina went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for West Virginia. In a tie game with two out in the bottom of the seventh, Hlina came through with a 2-run double. It put the Dancin' Outlaws in front, 2-0.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Hammond.
