Seals Lose Again, 3-2
|
Whitewater beat Beach City, 3-2. The win in part was due to left fielder Derek Monnier, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. The save was credited to Tim Parks, his 5th. The Beach City losing skid has reached 6 games.
Monnier provided the big break for the Eagles in the bottom of the fifth inning. With the bases empty, he hit a solo home run, helping Whitewater to get the win.
"Big team win," Monnier said later.
