Duke City turned a good effort from starter Lorenzo Soto into a win over the Las Vegas Gamblers at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard . The final score was 4-2. Soto, now 3-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 4, and allowing 2 earned runs. Carlos Núñes earned the save for Duke City, his 16th.
Gart Rook helped out the Duke City cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk.
"I really like what we did out there today," Rook said after the game.
Duke City currently is in third place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division at 24-23.
