Bethesda Hornets starter Tetsuzan Ono turned in a sterling performance against the Bel Air Princes, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Ono went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 6-5. Bethesda is now 35-47, while Bel Air is 61-21.
The game was far from mistake-free. In the bottom of the fifth, the Princes committed a costly error on a base hit by José García. Bethesda scored 1 on the play to take the lead, 3-2.
García said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
