Springfield beat Brisbane on the strength of starter David Myers's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. Springfield is now 57-27.

Ángel González was one of the major contributors to the win for Springfield. The light-hitting shortstop stroked a single to center in the top of the fourth inning. For the day, he was 1-3.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Myers.
