Springfield got a strong outing from Carlos Moreno as the Capitals defeated the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 3-2, at Baylor Ballpark. Takashi Toru earned his 29th save in 32 chances. Springfield has an impressive 56-27 record.
Sebastian Leavers was a key contributor to the win for the Capitals. In the top of the sixth with two out, the light-hitting left fielder stroked a single to right. He was 2 for 5 with 2 singles.
