Hipsters Defeat Shade, 4-3

Hipster Grounds was the site of a competitive game between the Stroudsburg Shade and Austin Hipsters.
The Austin Hipsters did just enough to sneak past the Stroudsburg Shade, 4-3, at Hipster Grounds. Austin pitcher Shunsen Matsumoto earned player of the game honors. Matsumoto went the distance for Austin. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits.
Todd Harper had a big 2-run double for the Hipsters in the bottom of the second inning. With Austin trailing 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Pablo Bautista and stroked the double to right-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hipsters ahead, 3-2.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Stroudsburg manager Raúl Pérez, "let me know."
At 35-47, the Hipsters are currently 5th in the August Herrman League Mr. Met Division.
