Knights Raise Rally Flag, Beat Kansas City, 6-2

The Sioux City Knights stymied the Kansas City Blue Spaders, 6-2, at The Whig Stadium. Dawson Sandwell, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Sioux City. Sioux City's record now stands at 40-42, placing them third in the August Herrman League Phillie Phanatic Division.
The most crucial at-bat for Sioux City came in the top of the ninth inning. That's when Sandwell stroked a first pitch cutter to right for a grand slam home run, putting Sioux City up, 6-2.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Sioux City manager Leland Ray.
