Loss to Blue Spaders Extends Palm Beach Losing Streak
|
Kansas City Blue Spaders starter Xiong Yang pitched a strong game against the Palm Beach Bums at Envoys Ballpark, leading the Blue Spaders to a 2-1 win. Li-zhu Kuang converted his 15th save in 15 tries. The slumping Bums have lost 6 straight.
Kansas City third baseman Gagan Pavani helped the Blue Spaders to the win. In the top of the fifth inning, the 20-year old third baseman stroked a run-scoring double. For the game, Pavani went 2-5 with a double.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Francis Baker.
