Blue Spaders Rally For Late Win Over Bums
Palm Beach third baseman Joey Milledge was sensational. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Kansas City beat the Bums, 10-7. Milledge was named the player of the game despite the loss. The last-place Bums have dropped 5 straight games.

Had Luppe Looms not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Looms hit a 2-run single. That made the score 9-7, in favor of the Blue Spaders.

"Nice to get this one," said Looms. "Wins have been hard to come by."
