Ota, Capitals Humble Shade
|
The exploits of right fielder Kumanosuke Ota helped the Springfield Capitals defeat the Stroudsburg Shade, 12-1. Ota was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2. Anenas Kunwarjit earned the save for Springfield, his 2nd of the year. At 55-26, the Capitals are currently third in the August Herrman League Mr. Met Division.
Tuo-zhou Zhang contributed to the Springfield cause with a productive at-bat in the top of the third inning. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, propelling Springfield to the win.
