Capitals Get One-Run Win at Stroudsburg
|
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Nicolas Léger, the Springfield Capitals defeated the Stroudsburg Shade, 5-4. Léger went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs for the Capitals. Takashi Toru was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 28 of 31 save opportunities. Springfield has an impressive 54-26 record.
With the game tied, 1-1, in the top of the fourth, Léger had a key at-bat for Springfield. With a runner on 1st, Léger, who was drafted in the three round of the 2026 draft, hit a run-scoring double off Kyung-hwan Ho, making the score 2-1, Capitals.
