Brisbane left-hander Royce Leveque was sensational in shutting out the Palm Beach Bums, 7-0. Leveque, the winner, moves to 6-3. He threw 5.2 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 2 walks. Owen Kay earned the save for Brisbane, his 1st of the year.

Early in the game, designated hitter Tsuginori Sasaki had a 2-run home run for Brisbane. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Bush Wackers on top, 2-0.
