Losing Streak Continues for Blue Spaders with 4-1 Loss
John Curnew pitched a gem to lead Bethesda to a 4-1 victory over the Kansas City Blue Spaders. The losses continue to add up for Kansas City, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.

One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning. Facing Kansas City hurler Jack Smith, Kenkichi Kichida, who is tied for 8th in the AHL in bases on balls with 43, hit a 2-run single. The Hornets went on to win.

"We're our own worst enemy right now," said Kansas City skipper Jack O'Callahan.
