Sting Bump Off Princes, 2-1
|
The Houston Sting went home winners at Woodland Park, thanks in large part to starter Domingo Moreno. Moreno silenced the Bel Air Princes, enabling Houston to grab the 2-1 win. After today's action, Houston sits at 38-40, while Bel Air falls to 60-18.
The Sting got a big at-bat from left fielder Aidan Turgoose. For the game, Turgoose went 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Houston a 2-0 lead.
"Domingo was throwing free and easy," said Houston manager Robby Tate.
