Starting pitcher Pedre Pedrogo pitched well enough to help the Sioux City Knights beat the Beach City Seals by the score of 4-3. Pedrogo, now 4-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. At 35-39, the Knights are currently 4th in the August Herrman League Phillie Phanatic Division.
Bill Riel in the top of the fifth had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and the Knights leading 3-0, the Sioux City designated hitter hit a sacrifice fly.
"We came out with the short end of the stick," said Beach City skipper Nobuharu Chikafuji.
