Loss to Seals Extends Palm Beach Losing Streak
The Beach City Seals beat the Palm Beach Bums, 8-5, at Silvery Lane Field. Beach City shortstop José Villa earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2-4 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The save was credited to Christian Hawk, his 2nd. The slumping Bums have lost 7 straight.

Villa had a game-changing triple in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Iván Valenzuela, he banged a 2-run triple to right, giving the Seals a 7-5 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Villa.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Francis Baker, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
