The Beach City Seals went home winners at Silvery Lane Field, thanks in large part to starter Héctor Bello. Bello silenced the Palm Beach Bums, enabling Beach City to grab the 7-1 win. The last-place Bums have lost 5 consecutive games.

The standout performance belonged to 18-year-old Bello. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Seals. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Bums, striking out 6 and scattering 1 hit over 6.1 innings. Bello is now 1-6 on the season.

"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Francis Baker. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
