Philip Banks Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Bel Air Princes and the Austin Hipsters.
In a close game at Philip Banks Field, the Bel Air Princes edged the Austin Hipsters, 5-4. Bel Air catcher Jorge Jiménez earned the nod as player of the game. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Bel Air reliever Yoshii Suzuki picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Norm Hall absorbed the loss.
Jiménez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Norm Hall, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Princes a 5-4 lead. It was the 15th home run of the year for Jiménez.
"I like the roll we're on," said Bel Air manager Raúl Luna.
The Princes, now 53-16, have won 5 in a row.
