Pitschieller Excels in Brisbane Win
|
Behind a solid performance from second baseman Bernaldyn Pitschieller, the Brisbane Bush Wackers defeated the Kansas City Blue Spaders, 8-5. Pitschieller was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Bush Wackers. John Payne got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Blue Spaders to 1 runs on 3 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 1. Kansas City is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
There was more than one reason the Bush Wackers beat the Blue Spaders, but Pitschieller's big at-bat in the top of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-1 lead when he hit a 2-run double.
"Good to pick up this win," Pitschieller said.
