The Quebec Armada picked up a win at Stars & Stripes Stadium, knocking off the Manhattan Beach Patriots, 4-3. Starting pitcher Juan Pérez was an essential part of his team's success. In 7 innings, Pérez surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Pin-zhen Au picked up the save, his 12th.
Pramana Djambek provided some punch for the Armada. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd and Quebec trailing 1-0, he lit into a fastball from Kojuro Kojima, sending it out of the park. The 3-run homer put the Armada up, 3-1.
"We did enough to win," said Pérez.
The Armada saw their win-loss record go to 20-25. At the same time, the Patriots fell to 26-19.
