The Houston Sting and Beach City Seals played an exciting game at Silvery Lane Field.
Houston got a strong outing from Domingo Moreno as the Sting defeated the Beach City Seals, 4-2, at Silvery Lane Field. The winning pitcher was Moreno, now 5-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. Jason Graves finished to wrap up his 10th save.
Dave Lister struck a blow for the Sting in the top of the fifth when he hit a 2-run home run. It put his team ahead, 4-2. For the game, Lister went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It was a good effort all around," said Lister.
The Sting have now won 4 straight.
