|
The Brisbane Bush Wackers got a superb performance from right fielder Gerald Wilson. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Bel Air. The Princes won the game, 5-4. In spite of the loss, Wilson was named the player of the game. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. Takayuki Hoshino was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 4 walks and 1 strikeout. The Princes improved to a lofty 50-16.
Also pitching for Bel Air was catcher Jorge Jiménez, who hammered a solo home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, Jiménez went 1 for 4 with a home run.
