The Brisbane Bush Wackers wasted an impressive 6-inning effort from starter Gabriel Bernard, falling 2-1 to the Beach City Seals at Silvery Lane Field. Hayden Nickem picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 7-1. Gah-fat Xi was tagged with the loss. The 5th-place Seals improved to 22-38.
Beach City took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With no one out, designated hitter Adhivahana Vandita hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Vandita.
