Gamblers Lose to Toreros, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Cabo San Lucas Toreros and the Las Vegas Gamblers, pitcher Kajal Ghandi was the difference between victory and defeat. The Cabo San Lucas right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 Toreros win. Joe Good, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 5-2. Mulia Kathirithamby finished the game for Cabo San Lucas and earned his 7th save.
Ghandi contributed when he drew a walk in the top of the eighth. Coming with two outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the walk proved to be critical to helping Cabo San Lucas get the win.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Las Vegas manager Jesús Alfaro.
The Toreros now have a mark of 22-23.
