Eisaku Yoshioka never let Stroudsburg get something going. The Beach City right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Seals to a 3-1 win. The winning pitcher was Yoshioka, now 6-3. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 2. Katsunan Suzuki picked up the save for Beach City, his 13th of the year.

The Beach City triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was Walt Keough. In the top of the sixth, the Beach City third baseman hit a solo home run. It staked his team to a 2-1 lead.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Keough.

The Seals, at 20-36, sit in 5th place in the August Herrman League Phillie Phanatic Division.
