The Houston Sting and West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws played an exciting game at Penlee Park.

The Houston Sting got a good effort from starter Maurice Hesmondhalgh in defeating the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws at Penlee Park. The final score was 4-2. Hesmondhalgh, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks.

David Huguet was a key contributor to the win for the Sting. In the top of the seventh with no one out, the light-hitting designated hitter stroked a home run to left-center. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said West Virginia skipper Andy Franklin, "and it cost us."

At 26-29, the Sting are currently 5th in the August Herrman League Mr. Met Division.
