Road Warriors Curb Shade, 6-3

The Westside Road Warriors picked up a win at Tim Raines Stadium, knocking off the Stroudsburg Shade, 6-3. Starting pitcher Daryl Walder, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Walder, now 8-1. He tossed 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Stroudsburg has now lost 4 straight.
Craig Hilton contributed to the Westside win. The 22-year old first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, Hilton went 3 for 5 with 3 singles.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Hilton.
