Eagles Lose Again, 4-1
|
The Bel Air Princes stymied the Whitewater Eagles, 4-1, at The Aerie. Jorge Quintero, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Bel Air. Guo Sang, the winner, improved to 7-3. He held the Eagles to 1 runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 0. The slumping Eagles have lost 9 straight.
Quintero contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Bel Air in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Quintero took a curveball from Caleb Berry and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Princes to leap in front, 2-1.
"We're our own worst enemy right now," said Whitewater skipper Michel Hérault.
