Bel Air Princes starter Bryce Miles was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Whitewater Eagles, 2-1. Naganori Naito was called on to finish, recording his 18th save. Bel Air has now won 5 straight.
Both teams had trouble manufacturing runs. So, Joe Robinson's at-bat in the top of the ninth was critical. With one out, the Bel Air shortstop hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 2-1 lead.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Whitewater manager Michel Hérault said following the tough loss.
