The Sioux City Knights got a stellar performance from pitcher Barry Sherman, who handcuffed the Kansas City offense en route to a 5-2 win at Knights Field. Walker Baldwin got the save, the 11th for him this season. Sioux City is in third place in the August Herrman League Phillie Phanatic Division with a record of 22-21.
Sam Kramer broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the third with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Knights in front, 3-2. For the game, Kramer drove in one run.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Sioux City manager Leland Ray. "Our pregame was pretty good."
