Simon Delivers Walk-Off Win for Road Warriors
|
The Westside Road Warriors defeated the Bel Air Princes, 4-1, at Road Warriors Field. Westside catcher Éric Simon was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Westside reliever Allen Blair picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Russ Simms absorbed the loss. The Road Warriors boast a remarkable 33-8 record.
Simon had the big at-bat for Westside. With two out in the bottom of the ninth inning, he hit a walk-off 3-run home run, giving Westside the 4-1 win.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Simon said.
