Bush Wackers Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
The Brisbane Bush Wackers did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Sioux City Knights at Baylor Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Edgardo Sáenz, who captured player of the game honors. Brisbane reliever Edgardo Sáenz was credited with the win, to go to 2-2. Mitch Nolan took the loss for Sioux City. Brisbane is first in the August Herrman League Phillie Phanatic Division with a record of 25-15.

Juan Carlos Cruz dealt the Knights a crippling blow in the bottom of the 16th. With the game tied and the bases empty, he hit a walk-off solo home run. The longball gave Brisbane the lead, 5-4. Sioux City pitcher Mitch Nolan could only shake his head in disbelief.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Brisbane field general Pete Barrett.
