Wedemeyer Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Austin in Walk-Off Win
The Austin-Beach City game took longer to complete because of the rain. But it was worth it for the home team in the end.

Roberto Manuel added some punch to the Austin offense, helping them outmuscle the Beach City Seals, 8-7. In the game, Manuel went 2-4 with a double and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The Beach City losing streak has now reached 5 games.

A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning when the Hipsters sent 20-year-old shortstop Nick Wedemeyer to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a walk-off run-scoring single, to put Austin on top, 8-7.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Manuel said.
