Dancin' Outlaws Beat Eagles, 3-1
|
In a well-pitched game between the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws and the Whitewater Eagles, pitcher Iestyn Stanbridge was fantastic. The West Virginia left-hander was named the player of the game in West Virginia's 3-1 win. In 6 innings, Stanbridge surrendered 1 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Tomás Sameiro recorded his 7th save for West Virginia.
The Dancin' Outlaws took the lead in the bottom of the fifth. With one out, Iemitsu Harada hit a solo home run off Whitewater pitcher Mike Campbell, putting West Virginia in front, 3-1. For the game, Harada went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs.
"Enjoyed this one," Harada told the West Virginia Today. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
