Princes Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
The Houston Sting got a superb performance from pitcher Sigfrid Arnim. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Bel Air. The Princes won the game, 7-3. In spite of the loss, Arnim was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings allowing 3 runs. The winner was Bel Air reliever Takuya Masuda Jr., now 2-0. The loser was Juan Carlos Baraja. Their 26-11 record puts the Princes second in the August Herrman League Mr. Met Division.
In the bottom of the eighth inning of a 3-3 tie, Bel Air third baseman Mike Jahn drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Bel Air on top, 4-3.
"It feels good to get that win," said Jahn. "Now it's on to the next one."
