In a close game at SouthSide Park, the Chicago Hitmen edged the Omaha Titans, 5-4. Chicago right fielder Pat Pittman earned the nod as player of the game. He went 3-5 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times. With the loss, Omaha falls to 2-3.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Chicago center fielder Chang-yong Zhang, facing Si-hun Park, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Hitmen the 5-4 win.
"We had a chance to win," said Omaha manager Bernard Jacq, "but we didn't get it done."
