Las Vegas Hot Streak Continues with 10-8 Win
|
In a high-scoring contest between Las Vegas and Cabo San Lucas, right fielder Tom Lampley was a difference-maker. Lampley, who is tied for 9th in the RCL in stolen bases with 12, earned player of the game honors in the 10-8 Las Vegas win. He went 4-5 with 4 singles. He scored 3 runs. Allen Cox got the win, improving to 5-2. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 5. The wins continue to add up for Las Vegas, with the latest making it 7 in a row.
Roberto Torres struck a blow for the Gamblers in the bottom of the first when he hit a 3-run home run. It put his team ahead, 3-0. For the game, Torres went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Las Vegas manager Jesús Alfaro.
