Sioux City Knights starter Barry Sherman turned in a top-notch performance against the Stroudsburg Shade at Knights Field. The result was a win for the Knights, 7-2. Sioux City now sits at 18-19, while Stroudsburg falls to 15-22.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the third inning. That's when catcher Katsuhiko Sakei hit a sacrifice fly. The Knights went on to win.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Sakei told the Sioux City Today.
