Jahn Excels in Bel Air Win
|
The Bel Air Princes clobbered the Kansas City Blue Spaders, 12-3, at Philip Banks Field today. Bel Air third baseman Mike Jahn was named player of the game for his productive day. He was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Bryce Miles, the winner, improved to 3-0. He held Kansas City to 3 runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. William Pendle, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the fifth inning. That's when catcher Jorge Jiménez, who is tied for 7th in the AHL in doubles with 7, drew a walk. The Princes went on to win.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Jahn told the Bel Air Bulletin.
The Princes, now 22-10, have been playing some good baseball.
