Victory Pushes Capitals Record to 24-7
|
Springfield Capitals starter David Myers turned in a top-notch performance against the Westside Road Warriors at Road Warriors Field. The result was a win for the Capitals, 4-1. Myers got the win, improving to 6-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Myers allowed 1 earned run. Springfield, now 24-7, is playing great baseball to start the year.
In the top of the first, Nicolas Léger muscled up and hit a 2-run home run. It put Springfield ahead, 2-0. For the game, Léger went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Springfield manager Anthony Mays.
