Sting Snatch Late Win
Houston overcame a superlative game from Royce Leveque to beat Brisbane, 4-3. The Brisbane pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 1-hit ball. Houston reliever Jason Graves picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Gah-fat Xi took the loss. The Sting, now 10-21, have not found much traction so far in 2028.

In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 3-3, designated hitter Augusto Reyes won it for Houston. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Reyes hit a 0-2 slider from Gah-fat Xi for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 4-3 win.

"This place was rocking at the end," Reyes said.
